Dentures are removable appliances that are designed to replace several teeth. Being removable appliances they can be removed from the mouth and need to be taken out at night. Some patients adapt better to dentures than other patients and full dentures are notoriously more difficult to adapt to. However, some patients do adjust extremely well to dentures saying that the dentures mimic their natural teeth. However, for the portion of patients that don’t tolerate dentures well the fixed options of a dental implant or a dental bridge may be more suitable.
